Focused on Africa from within Africa
What do we do?
We have a lofty goal of making the world a better place. As our name implies, we believe that individuals who act with integrity, respect, honour and a deep desire to improve the communities where they live, have the power to positively impact those around them. Our aim is to match these people with companies who focus on improving the lives of others.
- permanent staff for consulting firms or NGO / NPO entities
- key personnel for prospective business development opportunities
- long- or short-term contract staff on existing projects
we know what is required and which candidates will meet your needs.
What sets us apart?
Focused on Africa from within Africa we are assisting in the development of the place we call home. We take every opportunity personally and we see and feel the benefits in real terms, every day.
With over twenty years’ experience working in the development aid sector, we understand how it works. We have worked with many different entities from USAID; UKAid; European Union; World Bank; World Health Organisation and the United Nations, to name a few. We understand they have different rules and expectations and we deliver candidates that understand their differing missions and goals.
We pride ourselves in our ability and expertise in managing relationships throughout long and complex business development cycles. We understand that this is essential to your business, and we are equipped to support you from inception through to contract management. Keeping both our clients and candidates well informed is our central focus.
Where we work!
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Filotimo is perfectly positioned to provide services across Africa. We have built a strong network of local and ex-patriot resources working on projects, and in permanent roles, throughout the continent.
Although predominantly English speaking we have managed opportunities with the AFD in French-speaking Africa, and have access to both simultaneous interpreters and translation services for both French and Portuguese should the need arise.
